Can I have some help on this introduction (Believe me, it's short)?

This probably isn't what you want to hear, but I dont think you need to change it. When I read this I was hooked, I kept asking questions about the story. Why is everyone dead? Disease? Disaster? Great start, I'm sure you'll do wonderful in the contest! :)
