If an NFL player gets drafted and there is no season, can he go back to college?

With the impending labor situation, if a player gets drafted can he go back to college if the season is cancelled? Does it depend on whether or not he signs? If the entire 2011 season is cancelled would there simply be a bigger rookie cl in 2012?
