Pain with and Bleeding after ? Mirena?

I had Mirena placed in July last year and after 6 months of nasty bleeding I only have light spotty periods that last about 3 days. Every time I have I have light spotting and during sex in certain postions it can hurt pretty bad but a little achy otherwise. Now this last time I just got done with my period a day or so before then I had my usual spotting after sex. Now a couple of days later I am all of the sudden I am having heavier then usual spotting. The sex this time was pretty painful and uncomfortable most of the time. I am not sure if this could have anything to do with it but I went to the doctor for a followup on a UTI I had and the doctor had me do a pap smear since I haven't had one since 2008. I had some pain near my ovary so she had me go in for a ultrasound which turned out fine and the tech showed me the mirena and told me it was in place and doing its job. Then a week later the doctor called me to tell me I had an abnormal pap smear, so I have an appointment for colopscopy in a couple of weeks.
