I am at a JC, I am planning on transfering next year, but I got caught for cheating on my essay, What do i do?

I was caught for cheating on my essay, I did not properly quote the excerpts of my of my Philosophy paper. Hence it was counted as plagiarizing and I received an F in the course. I accept full responsibility for my actions, it was my fault that I did not properly quote my text. However I am a first year college student, who has a 3.83 and is planning to transfer next year. This will indeed impend on my acceptance to colleges, however I do not no the extent and what steps I should take to finding a solution to this and still getting in to a good school. My original goal was Berkeley and now I know thats not possible. Wat should I do?
