Is it normal to have a painful first period on Beyaz?

I started beyaz in May and I am on my first period while being on it. My ovaries are killing me, Im having awful cramps, and I am bleeding very very heavily. I am on my 5th day of my period and my 2nd day of my normal pink pills. My doctor did a pelvic ultrasound and everything was normal. My mom thinks that it may be from a kidney infection but I have not been to the doctor about this yet. Should I be concerned about this or is this normal when first being on birth control?
