Why do I get scared when a fire drill is about to happen?

A few times a year we have a fire drill at school. When I know that it is going to happen, my heart always starts pounding a little when the drill is impending (about to happen). Once the alarm goes off, & go outside & come back in, I'm ok & nothing happened to be. Why do I always have this reaction?
